“Highly Collectible, A.G. Spalding Bros “Greenwood" Antique Tennis Racquet. c1905. This racquet is marked “Greenwood” in gold with “A.G. Spalding Bros” gold and black logo on the throat; however, the logos have some scrapes. The frame is straight in particularly good antique condition with a medium amber patina; however, there are scuffs, dings, and dirt. Beautifully strung with original antique natural gut main strings with red gut cross strings all intact with red trebling at the top. The original leather butt collar is in place. The handle is in good condition with scuffs and dings. The head has an attractive squarish head shape close to that of a transitional Flat-Top racquet. Marked “12 ½ OZ” on the shaft.
