“RARE TO FIND A NAMED J W YOUNG REEL. MOST PRE WAR EXAMPES WERE MADE FOR THE TRADE AND WOULD HAVE BEEN UNNAMED OR WITH ANOTHER RETAILERS NAME TO THE REVERSE. SO TO FIND ONE WITH YOUNGS DETAIL TO THE REVERSE IS RARE. REEL HAS LOST MOST OF ITS ORIGINAL FINISH BUT OTHERWISE ALL WORKS WELL WITH THE SLIGHTEST OF SPOOL PLAY. THERE LOOKS TO BE A LEVEL SILK LINE ON THE REEL WHICH IS STRONG WHEN PULLED BETWEEN THE HANDS BUT DUE TO AGE LINE IS AS FOUND. ALL AS PER PHOTOS”
