“A SCARCE VINTAGE H WHITTY MAKER LIVERPOOL, HERCULES PATTERN 2 1/2" BRASS TROUT FLY REEL. REEL HAS BEEN POLISHED BY A PREVIOUS OWNER BUT THIS HAS DULLED OVER TIME, STAMPED WITH RETAILER/MAKER NAME TO THE FACE, ALTHOUGH I THINK IT WAS MOST LIKELY BUILT FOR WHITTY BY DAVID SLATER AS IT HAS ELEMENTS SUCH AS THE WAISTED PEARCED FOOT PRODUCED BY SLATER. REEL WINDS WELL WITH A NICE RIGHT HAND WIND BIAS. THERE IS VERY SLIGHT DISTORTION TO THE BACK RIM EDGE FROM USE BUT MINOR COSMETIC ISSUE THAT DOES NOT EFFECT USE IN ANYWAY. ALL AS PER PHOTOS AS THESE FORM PART OF THE DESCRIPTION”
