“A RARE 3" VINTAGE UNNAMED ALBERT SMITH PENGUIN PATENT ARMOURED CENTREPIN REEL, ALTHOUGH UNNAMED THE REEL IS STAMPED WITH THE PATENT DETAILS TO THE REVERSE. THE PATENT WAS ALBERT SMITHS AND THIS REEL APPEARED IN THEIR PRE-WAR CATALOGUES. REEL IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION FOR ITS AGE. THERE IS SOME MARKING AND STAINING TO THE ALLOY OTHERWISE A VERY GOOD EXAMPLE, CENTRE I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO REMOVE THE CENTRE NUT FROM THE SPINDLE BUT IT SHOULD LOOSEN WITH SOME RELEASING OIL. THIS REEL HAS NO CHECK AS FROM PRODUCTION. A LOVELY LITTLE REEL TO USE OR COLLECT, ALL AS PER PHOTOS.”
