“This Shimano Super Ultegra Specimen 12ft 2.5lb T/C Rod is the original version of the rod, with its blank finished in mid-blue metallic.The rod is in very good condition, with no scratches or wear to the blank, whippings, foam or rings, although there are some marks here and there through use (see pics for more details). The rod has 7 x 3-legged Fuji rings, spaced evenly to suggest this rod was designed for mid-distance casting and the distance from the reel seat to the first ring (inner diameter 2.5cm) is around 90 cm.The blank has a moderate tip action, which is not too stiff and has plenty of flexibility.The Fuji reel seat is a fixed, slide-in version with rear screw and the handle is finished in blue foam sections. No bag supplied. A fantastic example of an early Shimano"s Super Ultegra rod, its ring layout perfect for mid-distance Carp fishing.”
