“Collectible, Edw. K. Tryon Co. Philadelphia, PA Keystone Antique Tennis Racquet, c1905 – Marked "Edw. K. Tryon Co. Philadelphia, PA" in gold. Stamped “Manufactured by E. K. Tryon Company, Philadelphia, PA.” and “14 OZ” on the shaft. This racquet is made by one of the oldest makers in Philadelphia, PA. The frame is straight in particularly good antique condition with an attractive medium amber patina with a laminated wedge; however, there are dents, dings, scuffs, scratches, and dirty areas. The strings are original natural thick, rough gut with several broken strings and trebling at the top. The original leather butt collar is missing. The handle has dents, dings, and scratches. The head has a squarish oval shape with a squared profile bow. Please see all photos.”
