“Fair-Good overall antique cond: 1 of the plates has 2 tiny nicks. Both show some slight, minimal fading, around princ the 2" banded edge decoration & some minor-mod yellowing. Both centers of the plates are free of knife marks & feature colors which still remain vivid, saturated & strong. They demonstrate some fairly democratic, evenly distributed, fine crazing on their glazed surfaces. They"re unmarked w/either an ink stamped maker"s mark or stamped impression on their base plates. These most likely Austrian or German made dec porcelain plates have transferred graphic iconography on their int basins, which show trout freshwater fish swimming in a stream. These antique porcelain plates were clearly made for the sporting enthusiast & freshwater fisherman, who angled the streams & rivers of Europe & America w/their fly rods. When the plates were found in a kitchen on the South Shore of MA, they were covered w/dust, dirt & silt. They were painstakingly cleaned, washed, rinsed & dried.”
