“I have carried out some initial restorative work on the pad including two lots of treatment for some old woodworm activity. The woodworm damage is light and has not damaged the structure of the wood and the leather has been thoroughly cleaned. There is a split in the leather on one of the sides, which I have shown in the photos and depending upon intended use for the item it might be necessary for the buyer to carry out some further restorative work. There is generalised light wear and marking to the item consistent with age and use, and a few of the rivets holding the brass fittings in place have come away, although the brass is securely attached. I have tried to show as much detail as possible in the photos, so please study these.”
