“REDUCED Being Sold as a Collectable - Brass or Bronze head - Smooth Face - Branded "Ramsbottom Manchester" No other markings (Dots or Grooves etc)The photos show the condition it came to me - I assume the tape was put on for grip but there is also a possibility it has been restored or repaired I do not want to remove the tape in case of inadvertent damage such as sticky residue etcI am guessing it is dated C: 1890 but cannot evidence this, I have guessed this based on research including Golf Heritage, Golfers weekly and Golf Antique descriptiors - I cannot find another Ramsbottom for sale and the last one sold at Sotheby"s in their New York auction for £3"712 in 2007 to a private collector At C: 125 years old it does have age related dinks & nicks on the face but adds to the character Clearly well used & Well Loved Please check the photos as your guide to condition & authenticity, & to satisfy yourself this is the real thing, sold as a collectable, or project.”
